Your Health Plans 

The City of Chattanooga offers employees two (2) medical plan options, each with two (2) network options to choose from.

You can elect the PPO plan or the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with HSA. Whichever plan you choose, you will have comprehensive coverage administered by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee (BCBST) that allows you to use BCBST's extensive national network of doctors and hospitals.

The primary difference in the plans are the premiums and the out-of-pocket costs for medical services. The High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with HSA has a higher deductible, but you pay lower rates. The PPO plan has higher employee premiums but you have a lower deductible to meet before expenses can be paid.
